🎨 A Hidden Gem in South Lake Tahoe
When you’re visiting (or living in) South Lake Tahoe, you’re always looking for something fun, creative, and unique to do — especially on a chilly evening or a rainy day. That’s how I stumbled across The Hot Spot, a BYOB art studio that’s quickly become one of my favorite Tahoe discoveries.
It’s not just pottery painting. The Hot Spot offers mosaics, candle making, succulent gardens, canvas painting, and even slime for kids. Whether you’re here with friends, family, or your partner, there’s something for everyone.
🍷 BYOB + Crafts = Pure Fun
One of the coolest things about The Hot Spot is that it’s BYOB. Bring your favorite wine, beer, or coffee and settle in for an afternoon or evening of creative fun.
We chose the mosaic workshop, and it was the perfect mix of relaxing and hands-on. The space is bright, well-organized, and fully stocked with every kind of glass tile, glitter, paint, and tool you could imagine. No experience? No problem! The owner walks you through the process and makes it so easy to dive right in.
👩👩👧👦 Perfect for Any Occasion
The Hot Spot is ideal for:
Girls’ night out or bachelorette parties 🎉
Family outings (kids love it!) 👩👩👧👦
Date nights 💕
Homeschool art projects ✏️
Rainy-day Tahoe activities ☔
We spent two hours laughing, sipping wine, and creating — and walked out with something handmade and beautiful.
📍 Why You Should Add It to Your Tahoe Itinerary
Lake Tahoe is famous for its outdoor adventures, but when you want a change of pace (or the weather doesn’t cooperate), The Hot Spot is the perfect choice. You’ll make lasting memories and take home a keepsake to remember your trip.
💡 Insider Tip: Give yourself at least 1–2 hours so you don’t feel rushed. And don’t forget your favorite drink!
